# The Tower Hamlets Housing Action Trust (Area and Constitution) Order 1993, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 30th June 1993
The Secretary of State for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 60 and 62(1)(a) of the Housing Act 1988 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after consultation with the council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in accordance with section 61(1) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order, a draft of which has been laid before Parliament and has been approved by resolution of each House of Parliament:
