  "text": "(1) This Act may be cited as the Town and Country Planning Act 1968.\n(2) The Town and Country Planning Acts 1962 to 1966 and this Act may be cited as the Town and Country Planning Acts 1962 to 1968.\n(3) This Act—\n(a) except so far as it amends the 1957 c. 20.House of Commons Disqualification Act 1957, section 24(9) of the 1966 c. 34.Industrial Development Act 1966 and section 8(3) of the 1967 c. 69.Civic Amenities Act 1967, shall not extend to Scotland ; and\n(b) except so far as it amends the said Act of 1957, shall not extend to Northern Ireland.",
