# The Town and Country Planning (Revocations) Order 2014, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 254 of the Local Government Act 1972, sections 134(3A) and (5), 148(2), 149 and 170(3)(b) of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980, sections 59, 60 and 333(7) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, and section 67(2) of the Coal Industry Act 1994, makes the following Order:
