Regulation 2 Amendment to the Toys (Safety) Regulations 1989

in paragraphs (3) and (4) of regulation 1, the words from “provided that” to the end of each of those paragraphs shall be omitted;

paragraphs (1) and (2) of regulation 2 shall be omitted;

in paragraph (1) of regulation 9, the words “Subject to paragraphs (2) and (2A)” shall be substituted for “Subject to paragraph (2)”; and

there shall be inserted after paragraph (2) of regulation 9 the following paragraph—

“(2A)

Paragraphs (1) and (2) above shall not apply in relation to a toy which has previously been supplied to any person who acquired it for private use or consumption.”.
