# The Trade Marks and Service Marks (Fees) Rules 1989, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Rules)
These Rules revoke and replace the Trade Marks and Service Marks (Fees) Rules 1988. All fees are increased with effect from 3rd July 1989 and it is estimated that the total amount of fees collected per annum at the new levels will be 7.5 per cent greater than the amount collected per annum at the existing levels.
