  "heading": "Revocation of previous Rules",
  "text": "(1) The Rules specified in Schedule 1 are hereby revoked.\n(2) Except as provided by rule 73 above, where–\n(a) immediately before these Rules come into force, any time or period prescribed by the Rules hereby revoked has effect in relation to any act or proceeding and has not expired, and\n(b) the corresponding time or period prescribed by these Rules would have expired or would expire earlier,\nthe time or period prescribed by those Rules and not by these Rules shall apply to that act or proceeding.\n(3) Any proceeding commenced before the registrar before the entry into force of these Rules shall proceed under the Trade Mark Rules 1994 as amended or old law as appropriate; but where a new step is to be taken on or after 26th April 2000 in relation to any proceedings commenced under the Trade Mark Rules 1994 these Rules shall apply to such proceedings from that date.",
