# The Trade Secrets (Enforcement, etc.) Regulations 2018, Regulation 5: Length of limitation or prescriptive period

(1) The limitation period is six years.
(2) The prescriptive period is five years.
(3) The limitation or prescriptive period begins with the day specified in regulation 6.
