# The Trading with the Enemy (Enemy Territory Cessation) (Siam) Order 1948, Note: Explanatory note


An Order in Council dated 28th September, 1944 (S.R. & O. 1944, No. 1123), made the whole of the Trading with the Enemy Act and the Orders made thereunder continue to apply to areas under enemy sovereignty at that date until the Board of Trade otherwise order.
By virtue of the present Order, Siam ceases to be regarded as enemy territory for all purposes of the said Act and Orders.
