  "text": "(This note is not part of the Directions)\nThese Directions amend direction 58 of the Traffic Signs General Directions 2002 (type approval of road studs) until 31st January 2005. Approvals given under direction 50 of the revoked Traffic Signs General Directions 1994 (which direction 58 of the 2002 Directions re-enacts with modifications) are to be treated as given under direction 58(1) even though they could not actually be so given, because they were not given for testing purposes as required by direction 58(2). The amendment ceases to have effect on 31st January 2005.",
