Section 3 Approval of types of stud by the Secretary of State

Direction 58 shall be amended as follows.

After paragraph (4) there shall be inserted the following paragraphs—

“(5)

A stud which—

(a)

is of a type which was approved by the Secretary of State under direction 50 of the Traffic Signs General Directions 1994^f1; and

(b)

is placed temporarily on a road in connection with road works,

shall be treated as having been approved under paragraph (1), even though it was not approved for the purpose mentioned in paragraph (2), and paragraphs (3) and (4) shall apply to it accordingly.

(6)

Paragraph (5) shall cease to have effect on 31st January 2005.”
