# The Traffic Signs (Temporary Obstructions) Regulations 1997, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 8th January 1998
Coming into force 1st March 1998
The Secretary of State for Transport, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales acting jointly in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 64(1), (2), (3) and (5) and 67(3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 134(2) of that Act, hereby make the following Regulations:
