  "text": "(1) This Order may be cited as the Transfer of Functions (Economic Statistics) Order 1989.\n(2) In this Order–\n“the 1947 Act” means the Statistics of Trade Act 1947;\n“the Chancellor” means the Chancellor of the Exchequer;\n“the former Trade and Industry functions” means the functions transferred to the Chancellor by articles 2 and 3 below;\n“the transferred CSO” means the Central Statistical Office of the Chancellor of the Exchequer.\n(3) This Order shall come into force on 31st July 1989.",
