# The Transit of Animals (Amendment) Order 1988, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 18th May 1988
The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1, 8(1), 37(1) and (2), 38(1), 86(1) and 87(4) of the Animal Health Act 1981 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
