  "text": "In this Part of this Act—\n“the 1981 Act” means the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981;\n“the 1988 Act” means the Road Traffic Act 1988\n“approved testing authority” and “authorised inspector” have the meanings respectively given by section 8(3) and (4) of this Act;\n“business” includes any activity carried on by a body of persons, whether corporate or unincorporate;\n“goods vehicle” has the meaning given by section 192 of the 1988 Act;\n“vehicle examiner” means an examiner appointed under section 66A of the 1988 Act.\n“vehicle testing business” has the meaning given by section 8(1) of this Act;\nand references to the testing and surveillance functions are references to the functions specified in section 9 of this Act.",
