# Transport Act 1985, Paragraph 2

Extent: E+W+S

(1) The tribunal shall consist of—
(a) a president and two or more chairmen appointed by the Lord Chancellor (referred to below in this Schedule as judicial members); and
(b) two or more other members appointed by the Secretary of State.
(2) The president of the tribunal shall be—
(a) a person who satisfies the judicial-appointment eligibility condition on a 7-year basis; or
(b) an advocate or solicitor in Scotland of at least 7 years’ standing.
(2A) Each chairman shall be—
(a) a person who satisfies the judicial-appointment eligibility condition on a 5-year basis; or
(b) an advocate or solicitor in Scotland of at least 5 years’ standing.
