# The Transport Act 2000 (Consequential Amendment) Order 2004, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 8th July 2004
Whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before Parliament and approved by each House of Parliament in pursuance of section 277(3) of the Transport Act 2000.
Now, therefore the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 277(1) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:
