Article 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

This Order may be cited as the Transport Security (Electronic Communications) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 30th September 2006.

In this Order—

• “the 1982 Act” means the Aviation Security Act 1982^f1;

• “the 1990 Act” means the Aviation and Maritime Security Act 1990^f2;

• “the 1993 Act” means the Railways Act 1993^f3;

• “the 1994 Order” means the Channel Tunnel (Security) Order 1994^f4; and

• “the 2004 Regulations” means the Ship and Port Facility (Security) Regulations 2004^f5.
