# The Transport Security (Electronic Communications) Order 2006, Article 9: Insertion of definitions and interpretation into the 2004 Regulations


(1) Regulation 2 of the 2004 Regulations (interpretation) is amended as follows.
(2) In paragraph (1) insert the following definitions at the appropriate places—
““address”, in relation to electronic communications, means any number or address used for the purposes of such communications;”;
““electronic communication” has the same meaning as in the Electronic Communications Act 2000 (c. 7);”.
