Rule 2 Amendments to the Lands Tribunal Rules 1996

for the title substitute “Costs”; and

before paragraph (2) insert—

“(1A)

In an appeal against the decision of a leasehold valuation tribunal—

(a)

the Tribunal may not make an order in respect of costs against a party to the appeal unless the Tribunal considers that the party ordered to pay costs or its representative has behaved unreasonably in bringing, defending or conducting the proceedings; and

(b)

the Tribunal may not order a party to pay more than £500 in respect of costs.”
