  "heading": "Interpretation.",
  "text": "(1) In this Act—\n“asset” includes any right or interest;\n“charitable trust” means a trust under which property is held for charitable purposes and “charitable purposes” has the meaning given by section 11 of the Charities Act 2011;\n“custodian trustee” has the same meaning as in the Public Trustee Act 1906;\n“enactment” includes any provision of a Measure of the Church Assembly or of the General Synod of the Church of England;\n“exempt charity” has the same meaning as in the Charities Act 2011 ;\n“functions” includes powers and duties;\n“legal mortgage” has the same meaning as in the Law of Property Act 1925;\n“personal representative” has the same meaning as in the Trustee Act 1925;\n“settled land” has the same meaning as in the Settled Land Act 1925;\n“trust corporation” has the same meaning as in the Trustee Act 1925;\n“trust funds” means income or capital funds of the trust.\n(2) In this Act the expressions listed below are defined or otherwise explained by the provisions indicated—\nasset management functions\nsection 15(5)\ncustodian\nsection 17(2)\nthe duty of care\nsection 1(2)\nthe general power of investment\nsection 3(2)\nlay trustee\nsection 28(6)\npower of intervention\nsection 22(4)\nthe standard investment criteria\nsection 4(3)\nsubordinate legislation\nsection 6(3)\ntrustee acting in a professional capacity\nsection 28(5)\ntrust instrument\nsections 6(2) and 35(2)(a)",
