# The Tuberculosis (Examination and Testing) Scheme (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Schedule to the Tuberculosis (Examination and Testing) Order (Northern Ireland) 1999. It provides in paragraph 1 for a new definition of an approved veterinary surgeon, who may carry out official tests for tuberculosis on animals, and amends the definition of “authorised officer” and “official test”.
Paragraph 1A provides conditions for the approval of such approved veterinary surgeons, whilst paragraph 5 prohibits movement of animals during testing and confirms when an official test can be considered to have ended.
