(1)

The following provisions of the Act shall come into force on 1st March 1997–

  • section 5(1), (2), (8), (9) and (10),

  • section 6, in so far as it gives effect to paragraph 11 of Schedule 1,

  • section 10(1) and (5), and

  • paragraph 11 of Schedule 1.

(2)

Except as provided in paragraph (1) above, the Act shall come into force on 1st June 1997.
