Article 3 Transitional provisions

The amendments made by sections 148 and 149 of the Act do not apply to a case where—

(a)

a person (“the applicant”) has applied to a local housing authority for accommodation, or for assistance in obtaining accommodation, under Part 7 of the 1996 Act; and

(b)

a duty of the local housing authority to secure that accommodation is available for the applicant’s occupation under Part 7 of the 1996 Act^f1 including on an interim or temporary basis has arisen and has not ceased,

before the commencement date.
