The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 63(2) of the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016f1, makes the following Regulations.

1Citation

These Regulations may be cited as the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 (Commencement) Regulations 2016.

2Commencement

The Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 comes into force on 26th May 2016 in so far as it is not already in force.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations bring the provisions of the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 into force on 26th May 2016 in so far as they are not already in force. Sections 59, 61, 62, 63 and all enabling powers came into force on Royal Assent.
