Regulation 4 Effect of the public notice

a notice made under regulation 3(1) is to be treated as if it were a public notice made under section 13(3) of the Act (and accordingly any reference to a public notice made under section 13(3) is to be treated as including a reference to a public notice made under regulation 3(1));

a tariff rate quota that applies to goods by virtue of a notice made under regulation 3(1) is to be treated as a tariff rate quota that applies to goods following the Secretary of State’s acceptance of a recommendation under paragraph 16(3) of Schedule 5 to the Act.
