# The Uncertificated Securities (Amendment) (Eligible Debt Securities) Regulations 2003, Paragraph 9


The reference to a person becoming party to an instrument in each of article 17(2) and article 31(2) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) Order 2001 includes a reference to a person assuming rights and obligations in respect of uncertificated units of an eligible debt security in accordance with its current terms of issue.
