# The Universal Credit (Tenant Incentive Scheme) Amendment Regulations 2017, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 30th April 2017
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 11(4) and 42(1) to (3) of the Welfare Reform Act 2012.
In accordance with section 29(7) of the Scotland Act 2016 the Secretary of State has consulted the Scottish Ministers.
In accordance with section 173(1)(b) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992 the Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that proposals in respect these Regulations need not be referred to it.
