  "heading": "Exclusion of entitlement to certain benefits",
  "text": "(1) Except as provided in paragraph (2), a claimant is not entitled to—\n(a) income support;\n(b) housing benefit;\n(c) a tax credit; or\n(d) state pension credit ... ,\nin respect of any period when the claimant is entitled to universal credit .\n(2) Entitlement to universal credit does not preclude the claimant from entitlement—\n(a) to housing benefit in respect of specified accommodation or temporary accommodation;\n(ab) to housing benefit or income support where regulation 8(2A) or 46(1) applies; ...\n(b) during the first assessment period for universal credit, where the claimant is a new claimant partner, to—\n(i) income support, where an award to which the new claimant partner is entitled terminates, in accordance with regulation 7(4), after the first date of entitlement to universal credit;\n(ii) housing benefit, where regulation 7(5)(b) or (c) applies and an award of housing benefit to which the new claimant partner is entitled terminates after the first date of entitlement to universal credit; ...\n(iii) a tax credit, where an award to which the new claimant partner is entitled terminates, in accordance with the 2002 Act, after the first date of entitlement to universal credit; or\n(iv) state pension credit, where an award to which the new claimant partner is entitled terminates after the first date of entitlement to universal credit; or\n(c) during the last assessment period for universal credit, where the claimant reaches the qualifying age for state pension credit and paragraph 26 of Schedule 1 to the Decisions and Appeals Regulations applies, to housing benefit or state pension credit from the date the claimant reaches that age",
