# The Universal Credit (Waiting Days) (Amendment) Regulations 2015, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 3rd August 2015
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6(1)(c) and (3), 7(3)(a), 32 and 42(2) of, and paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 6 to, the Welfare Reform Act 2012 .
In accordance with section 172(1) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992, the Secretary of State has referred the proposals for these Regulations to the Social Security Advisory Committee.
