# The Universal Credit (Work Allowance and Taper) (Amendment) Regulations 2021, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 24th November 2021
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of powers conferred by sections 8(3)(a), 40 and 42(1) to (3) of, and paragraph 4(1) and (3) of Schedule 1 to, the Welfare Reform Act 2012.
The Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that the proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it.
