Explanatory note

This Order further amends one of the dates in the entry in the Schedule to the Valuation Timetable (Scotland) Order 1984 (“the 1984 Order”) which specifies the last dates for the disposal, by valuation appeal committees, of appeals and complaints against entries in valuation rolls.

At present the last date for the disposal of such appeals and complaints by a valuation appeal committee is 30th June 1989, or 31st December in the year following that in which the appeal or complaint is lodged, or 12 months after the date on which the appeal or complaint is lodged, whichever is the latest.

This Order substitutes for the reference to 30th June 1989 a reference to 31st December 1989 (article 2).

This Order also repeals previous Amendment Orders which have been superseded (article 3).
