  "text": "(1) Subject to the following provisions of these Regulations, the appropriate Minister may make a payment to a producer in respect of any veal calf—\n(a) kept prior to 20th March 1996 on a holding belonging to that producer;\n(b) either—\n(i) sold by that producer after 19th March 1996 and before 10th November 1996 for slaughter for human consumption; or\n(ii) slaughtered by that producer or on his behalf after 19th March 1996 and before 10th November 1996 for sale for human consumption;\n(c) for which no payment was made under the Beef (Marketing Payment) Regulations 1996 or the Beef (Marketing Payment) (No. 2) Regulations 1996; and\n(d) the carcase of which had, at the date of slaughter, a weight of not less than 80 kilogrammes and not more than 160 kilogrammes.\n(2) A payment may be made at such time and in such amount as the appropriate Minister may determine.",
