# The Vehicle Excise and Registration (Consequential Amendments) Regulations 2014, Paragraph 3


In regulation 4 (application for a right of retention)—
(a) in paragraph 4(1) paragraph (b) is omitted;
(b) after subparagraph (1) there is inserted—
“(1ZA) An application under paragraph (1) is not valid unless a vehicle licence for the vehicle is in force or has been applied for.”
