# The Vehicle Excise (Design Weight Certificate) (Amendment) Regulations 2009, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 57 and 61A of the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 and by virtue of the Department for Transport (Fees) Order 2009.
