# The Vehicle Excise Duty (Fee for Temporary Licences) Regulations 1996, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations substitute the sum of £2.35 for the sum of £2 which is payable, under section 9(3) of the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994, where an application for a temporary vehicle licence is made to an agent of the Secretary of State.
