  "long_title": "This order amends four sets of Regulations to allow a United Kingdom identity card, issued under the Identity Cards Act 2006, to be used as an alternative to a passport in order to prove identity. The four sets of Regulations that are being amended cover (a) licence acquisition theory and practical driving tests (b) qualifying tests undertaken by driving instructors (c) initial qualification tests and periodic training undertaken by professional lorry and bus drivers to obtain or maintain their driver Certificate of Professional Competence and (d) the purchase of vehicle registration plates. In each of these cases a valid identity card will be accepted as proof of identity.",
