# The Veterinary Surgery (Artificial Insemination) Order 2010, Article 1: Title, application, commencement and interpretation

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

(1) This Order—
(a) may be cited as the Veterinary Surgery (Artificial Insemination) Order 2010;
(b) applies in the United Kingdom save for article 3 which applies in Great Britain only; and
(c) comes into force on 14th September 2010.
(2) In this Order—
“the Act” means the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966;
“cow” means a cow of the bovine species, including bison and buffalo; and
“veterinary surgeon” means a person who is registered in the register of veterinary surgeons or the supplemental veterinary register ....
