(1)

In sub-section (2) of section 5—

(a)

for the words “a constable” there shall be substituted the words “a member of the police force of the Territory” ;

(b)

for the words and figures “section thirty-eight of the Summary Jurisdiction Act, 1879 ” there shall be substituted the words “any law of the Territory”;

(c)

for the words “a court of summary jurisdiction”, wherever they occur, there shall be substituted the words “a court of the Territory”;

(d)

for the words “the said section thirty-eight” there shall be substituted the words “the law of the Territory” .

(2)

Sub-sections (3) and (4) of section 5 shall be omitted.
