# The War Pensions (Mercantile Marine) (Amendment) Scheme 1987, Section 1: Citation, commencement and interpretation


This Scheme, which may be cited as the War Pensions (Mercantile Marine) (Amendment) Scheme 1987, amends the War Pensions (Mercantile Marine) Scheme 1964 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Scheme”), and shall come into force on 6th April 1987.
