# The War Pensions (Mercantile Marine) Scheme 1964, Article 5: Members of the pilotage and light vessel services


(1) This Scheme applies also to any member of the pilotage or light vessel service whose disablement or death is directly attributable to a qualifying injury sustained or detention suffered by reason of his service.
(2) The cases in which a member of the pilotage or light vessel service who has sustained a qualifying injury or suffered detention is to be treated as having sustained the injury or suffered the detention by reason of his service are set out in Part II of Schedule 2 to this Scheme.
