  "heading": "EQUIVALENT NAVAL RANKS OF SALVAGE WORKERS",
  "text": "In this Schedule “certificated” means:—\n(a) in relation to the grade of chief motor engineer, the holding of a first class motor certificate of competency or of a first class combined steam and motor certificate of competency; and\n(b) in relation to the grade of motor engineer, the holding of such a certificate as aforesaid or of a second class motor certificate of competency or of a first class steam certificate of competency with second class motor endorsement or of a second class combined steam and motor certificate of competency;\nbeing in either case a certificate issued by the Minister of Transport or any Minister whose functions are exercisable by the Minister of Transport .\nGrade, or grade and circumstances, and qualifications\nEquivalent naval rank\nAdmiralty Chief Salvage Officers and other Chief Salvage Officers of equivalent responsibilities.\nCommander.\nOther Salvage Officers\nLieutenant.\nChief motor engineer—\n(a) if certificated\nSub-Lieutenant.\n(b) if not certificated\nWarrant Officer.\nMotor engineer—\n(a) if certificated\nWarrant Officer.\n(b) if not certificated\nChief Petty Officer.\nChief diver\nWarrant Officer.\nFirst class diver\nChief Petty Officer.\nOrdinary diver\nPetty Officer.\nForeman rigger\nWarrant Officer.\nMaster rigger\nChief Petty Officer.\nOrdinary rigger\nPetty Officer.\nShipwright\nChief Petty Officer.\nCarpenter\nChief Petty Officer.",
