Explanatory note
This Order amends Article 4 of the Warble Fly (England and Wales) Order 1982 which required the owner or person in charge of cattle or carcases which are infected with warble fly, or which are suspected of being so infected, to give notice of the fact to the veterinary inspector appointed for the time beings by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to receive such information in the area in which the cattle are situated and also required veterinary surgeons and meat inspectors to notify cases of infection and suspected cases of infection in a similar manner. As a result of the amendments made by Article 2 of this Order notification is now required to be given by such persons to a veterinary inspector.
