# The Waste (Scotland) Regulations 2005, Regulation 2: Interpretation


In these Regulations–
“permit” shall have the same meaning as it has for the purposes of regulation 7 of the Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Regulations 2000;
“waste management licence” shall have the same meaning as it has for the purposes of section 35(1) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990; and
“the 1994 Regulations” means the Waste Management Licensing Regulations 1994.
