  "text": "(1) In section 3(3) of the Local Government Act 1988 (qualification of definition of works contract for the purposes of Part I of that Act), for the words “water authority” there shall be substituted the words “sewerage undertaker”.\n(2) In section 25(2) of that Act (assistance not requiring consent), for paragraph (b) there shall be substituted the following paragraph—\n“(b) the assistance or benefit is provided in consequence of, or in connection with, the making by the authority, or by persons who include the authority, of a requirement under section 40 or 71 of the Water Act 1989 for the provision of a water main or public sewer;”.",
