# Water (Scotland) Act 1980, Section 52: Power to require supply for hose pipe to be taken by meter.

Where water which Scottish Water supplies for domestic purposes is used by means of a hosepipe or similar apparatus for watering a garden or for horses, washing vehicles or other purposes in stables, garages or other premises where horses or vehicles are kept, Scottish Water may require that all water so supplied shall be taken by meter.
