Article 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

This Order may be cited as the Weights and Measures (Knitting Yarns) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 1st January 1990.

In this Order, “knitting yarns” means any knitting yarns consisting of natural fibres (animal, vegetable or mineral), chemical fibres, or any mixture of such fibres.
