# Weights and Measures (Knitting Yarns) Order 1988, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order implements the requirements of Council Directive No. 87/356/EEC (OJ No. L192, 11.7.1987, p.48). The Order provides that knitting yarns are to be pre-packed only in prescribed metric quantities.
