# The Welfare Reform Act 2009 (Commencement No. 10) Order 2016, Article 2: Appointed day


19th September 2016 is the day appointed for the following provisions of the Welfare Reform Act 2009 to come into force—
(a) section 56 (registration of births) in so far as it relates to the entries in Schedule 6 to that Act set out in paragraph (b); and
(b) paragraphs 1 and 17 of Schedule 6.
