# The West Midlands (Coroners' Districts) (Amendment) Order 1999, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
The District of Sandwell was divided into two coroners' districts, Sandwell North and Sandwell South, by the West Midlands (Coroners' Districts) Order 1974. This Order amalgamates these two districts into one coroner’s district, to be known as the Sandwell coroner’s district.
