# The West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority (Decrease in Number of Members) Order 2014, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 4th June 2014
The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 29(2) of the Local Government Act 1985.
In accordance with section 29(3) of that Act he has had regard to the number of local government electors in the areas of the constituent councils of the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority.
He has consulted those councils in accordance with section 29(4) of Act.
